WHY I’M RUNNING

Seattle is home.

I was born here.
After graduating from Whitman College, I returned home to Seattle, and for the past decade, I’ve been actively engaging with Seattleites, listening, learning, and working alongside the people who make this city what it is.

Since 2017, I’ve walked neighborhoods across Seattle documenting thousands of residents through my community photography project, Seattle Serendipity. Through that work, I’ve had the privilege of listening to and documenting people’s stories- their challenges, their hopes, and their ideas for the future. Too many people I meet feel like their voices aren’t being heard anymore.

That experience showed me something simple:

Leadership starts with listening.

And that’s why I’m running to serve the people of Seattle.

FROM BUSSER TO BUILDER

A Seattle Story

My first job was as a busser at Seattle's Cactus Mexican Restaurant

From the employee breakroom there, I launched my first technology startup, Loopie.

We grew that company from a small idea into a business that raised more than $5 million and served customers across multiple cities, during the pandemic I'm proud to have partnered with the DESC, the Salvation Army and King County Shelters to support them with emergency laundry services. In 2023, the company merged with a national competitor, allowing the team and technology to continue growing at a larger scale.

That journey taught me:

Work matters
Accountability matters
Community matters

Today, I lead the Creative Altruism Institute, where we explore how technology and community can work together to improve lives.

I also run Compassion Ventures, where we build companies that use technology as infrastructure for positive change.

Most recently, I launched ChatGPTree, a sustainability-focused initiative that helps organizations plant trees to help address the environmental impact of modern technology.

These experiences have given me practical skills in:

Managing teams
Raising capital
Solving problems
Delivering results

But more importantly, they’ve reinforced a simple belief:

Public service is about responsibility.

A NEW CHAPTER FOR DISTRICT 43

Respectful Leadership. Real Accountability.

I respect the years of service that have gone into representing this district.

But leadership is not about tenure: it’s about trust.

After years of the same leadership, it’s reasonable to ask:

Are we listening closely enough?
Are we delivering measurable results?
Are we earning people’s confidence?

I believe District 43 deserves leadership that is:

Present
Accountable
Connected to the community

And ready to do the work.

My Priorities

Accountability First

People deserve transparency about how decisions are made and how public dollars are spent.

I will:

Demand clear reporting on outcomes
Focus on responsible budgeting
Keep promises to voters

Affordability and Stability

Families and small businesses are under pressure.

Housing costs are rising.
Everyday expenses are increasing.
Financial stability feels harder to maintain.

Government should make life more stable, not more uncertain.

I will:

Focus on practical affordability solutions
Support responsible fiscal policy
Prioritize policies that help people stay in our community

Families and Community Voice

I will make space for the overlooked. Strong communities start with strong relationships.

Kids need support.
Families need to be included.
Communities deserve a voice.

I will:

Promote collaboration between families and professionals
Protect the wellbeing of young people
Keep decision-making grounded in community input

That I may continue to be: A Neighbor. A Builder. A Listener.

I’m not a career politician.

I’m someone who believes leadership means showing up — consistently — and doing the work.

I’ve spent years engaging with this community, listening to residents, and working to build solutions that matter.

And I’m ready to serve.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME

If elected, I will:

Show up
Listen first
Be transparent
Follow through

Public service is a responsibility — not a title.
